Our new sand chairs have arrived! Ask a beach attendant for assistance. We are offering a new ice cream flavor this year "Cake Batter". For a healthier choice try our sugar free "Sasco Smoothie".

The ever popular Wednesday Night Beach Dinners will start June 24th. Please call the office to make reservations for these well attended dinners.  Cocktails begin at 6:30pm and a buffet dinner at 7:30pm. The cost of dinner is $39.50 per person. Please note there is a half price cancellation fee in effect if dinner is cancelled after Tuesday at noon.

The Thursday Night Family Beach dinners will start on July 2nd and will be extended through mid August due to the memberships request. A casual menu along with two chef's specials is offered beginning at 5:30pm with service ending at 8pm. Limited bar service of wine, beer and rum floats is available but you may bring your own beverages if desired. Picnic goers  may enjoy their dinner on lower level deck anytime; but use of the BBQ and porch seating will not be available until after 8:00pm.

Our Beach Committee would like to post some old photos of the Beach House throughout the summer to celebrate its last season before construction begins on the new pavilion. If you have some old photos to share please contact Steve Klemenz our general manager and he will scan the photos and return the originals to you. We only have one photo of the Beach House that appears to be from the 1950's.

Recycling Program
We have slowly been trying to institute a recycling program. We have placed containers marked "recycling" on the pavilion deck and pool deck. Please use them for the purpose intended and not for everyday trash. Recyclables include all plastics, cans and bottles or any product with a triangle symbol of 1 to 7.

Safe Grilling
Please be extra cautious with cookout fires on the beach grills.

BYOB
Members may bring their own liquor to the beach every evening with the exception of Wednesday evenings when the Club provides full bar service. BYOB is also allowed at all major holiday events.

No Life Guards on the Beach
The Beach-Long Island Sound area does not have lifeguards on duty. Members and their guests swim at their own risk in this area.  Parents are responsible for their own children at all times. Members are asked to notify their guests and sitters of this policy.

Lightning
One long blast means to seek shelter. An intermittent blast means its okay to return. When swimming, the safety protocol is that after lightning or a clap of thunder everyone must exit the pool.  The pool will remain closed until the area is thunder and lightning free for a period of 30 minutes.
At the pool, safety precautions are often taken before the horn sounds.

Hours of Operation
The Beach and Pool will be open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We will have a limited lunch menu on weekdays from May 26th through June 19th with a full menu on weekends. A detailed Beach Information Flyer and Calendar is posted in the newsletter section of this website.

Beach Rules Reminders
Members are reminded that the Beach Sticker is issued for their vehicles only. Misuse of the sticker could cause Club privileges to be revoked for two weeks.

Parties of twelve or more must be approved by the Board of Governors at least three weeks prior to the event. These parties are not allowed on the porch. They are to be held in the picnic area. Additionally, 25% of the party must consist of members. No parties of more than twenty five persons will be allowed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Beachcombers

Beachcombers is a supervised program of sports, arts & crafts, games, and music for our children who are between the ages of three and ten. Tennis, golf, and swimming lessons are included as part of the program. Beachcombers provides meaningful activities in a nurturing non-competitive environment.

Schedule & Eligibility

The Beachcomber program meets Monday through Thursday during a six week period between June 29th and August 6th. The day begins at 9am and runs through 12:30pm. Lunch is included in the daily schedule. Parents have the choice of either packing a lunch or placing an order at the snack bar at drop off time.

The program is open to all children between the ages of 3 and 10. If you have any questions or comments please contact Charlotte Bartol or Candace Wagner. We are looking forward to another great summer with your Beachcombers.
