Demolition
Demolotion of the Beach Pavillion was complete byOctober 7th. Above are some photos of the event and as you can see there was significant rot at the foundation. The next phase that involves site work has begun, utilities, septic systems construction and pile driving for the foundation.
Schedule
There will be quite a bit of activity going on at the Beach starting Tuesday September 8th as the beach house comes down and the new one is built.
The week of September 8th through September 11th we will be dismantling equipment, salvaging items and packing away beach, pool and kitchen equipment in order to prepare the building for demolition. The Club's construction manager, CE Floyd will be bringing in job trailers as well as construction fencing to enclose the construction site.
The week of September 14th, CE Floyd will begin preparing the building for demolition. At this time we do not have an exact date that the building will be razed. We anticipate a fair amount of truck traffic along the Beach Road for the first few weeks of construction.
After razing the building and clean-up of the site, construction of the new Beach House will begin shortly thereafter starting with timber piles (long, heavy treated wooden poles) being driven into the ground to create the foundation support of the building.
General Information
Parking: The center and eastern portion of the current parking
lot will be used by the contractors for staging and storage
of materials. They will install a construction fence to
enclosed the entire new building site. We ask that all
members and their guests recognize the importance of
for everyone's safety to stay out of the fenced construction
area. Parking spaces will be available on the west side of
the parking lot and will be designated. Again, we anticipate
a fair amount of truck traffic during demolition and ask
for your patience through this process.
Tennis: The tennis courts will be available for daily usage and
Pablo will be on site to oversee the tennis operation. The
Tennis Committee and Pablo have a few fall events
planned and hope you continue your usage of the new
courts through September and October. There will be a
Men's and Ladies' Porta John located by the pool pump
house.
Picnic: We will set up one of our 20x20 green tents and the small
barbecue grilles on the west beach area. This area will only
be accessible through the playground area and will be
available on September 9th. We are unsure of the
availability of electricity and therefore are not sure if this
area can be lighted at night.
Irrigation System Installation
The irrigation contractor will begin work on installing the new system on or about September 8th. They will concentrate their work on a few holes at a time and tie in the piping and clean up before moving on to other holes. If you have any questions regarding playing conditions please call the Pro Shop 255-3951 for a daily update.
Clubhouse
We are in the process of researching and finalizing the specific clubhouse projects and the scope for the funds that were allocated for the Clubhouse. Specifically, we are looking at renovating the balcony, doing kitchen upgrades and investing in a new boiler. More information on the projects and schedule will be forthcoming.
